Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing engineering deliverables necessary for tendering works and project execution according to schedule and budgets. Act as lead engineer for the assigned projects, review discipline deliverables of projects and coach junior engineers.
Typically assigned as a Lead Engineer and/or Mentor
Interpret project specification, building code and design manual information
Institute new designs based on Lessons Learned Database and Cost Reduction team findings.
Analyses the technical proposal, contract, specifications and applicable Lessons Learned relative to discipline in the project and ensures conformance to contract for all discipline engineering and material
Schedule discipline engineering work by WBS and monitor the schedule.
Assign, monitor and review the work of the project-assigned Discipline Engineers, Designers and 3rd party Engineers
Transfer [Discipline] information to designers for drawing preparation and review for design accuracy.
Estimate and monitor expended man-hours and material estimates and report updated man-hour projections on a regular basis.
Deliver checked and approved work packages (drawings, calculations, specifications, bills of materials, material requisitions, etc.) to the Project Engineer on schedule and within budget.
Provide technical support and coordination during fabrication, construction, check-out and start-up activities.
Ensure the accuracy of the discipline engineering content provided for inclusion in the O & M Manual
Ensure all outputs are documented and archived according to applicable ISO Procedures and/or Work Instructions.
Ensure competitiveness of products and services by being familiar with market needs, Manage application of technology to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize company risk
Support to make and maintain EI&C discipline standard design document and work procedures across all projects.
Review discipline deliverables for proposals and projects.
Develop/ monitor/ update company technical standards in discipline based on project feedbacks and technological advances, and approve deviations from same
Qualify subcontractors in discipline, as needed
Lead the execution project and project proposal. To be the lead engineer, and control the document delivery and quality. Coordinate with other discipline lead during the engineering design.
Good awareness to collect and summarize the lessons learn in project design. Ensure the lessons learn will be consider and applied in new project design.
Support to approve deviations from company technical standards, if any
Read and fully understand the technical requirements from customer, clarify problems.
Establish control system configuration scheme according to the process design specification and customer specification.
Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams in cooperation with process engineer.
Responsible for detailed instrumentation design according to the established control scheme, including the detailed design of the creation of process control logic diagram, control system interconnection wiring diagrams, IO list design, instrument list, instrument datasheet prepare, instrument hook up drawing, control system functional description, E&IC local instrument and LCP location drawing, control room layout, control cabling And so on…design. Provide technical specifications DCS/PLC and instrumentation products; provide technical evaluation of the corresponding products from the vendor.
Establish power supply scheme according to the process design, make single line diagrams, electrical load list base on system and equipment information.
Prepare electrical system specification of MV motors, LV motors, general electrical specification for mechanical package. Prepare the material requisition of the MV/LV equipment, SWGR, transformer and so on.
Cooperate with mechanical discipline on vendors’ technical documents, guide the supplier to comply with Alstom design standard. Check and review the design documents from supplier, control the quality and documents delivery schedule.
Responsible for detailed electrical design according to the established power supply scheme including the detailed design of power supply system, single line diagram design, electrical load calculation, design primary and secondary schematic diagrams for sub-supplier, review the detailed drawing of supplier, design cable routing, cable conduit design, cable tray design, power cable connection diagrams, control cable wiring diagrams for electrical devices and instruments. Electrical room layout.
Provide bid evaluation sheet, cooperate with sourcing to evaluate the technical issue of the product.
Strong background and experience in EHS aspect, can apply this experience into daily engineering design.
Other task assigned by Discipline Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering required ;
Minimum >8 years experiences after BS.
Strong experience and technical background for EI&C design, familiar with design procedure and cooperation with other disciplines.
Knowledge of discipline deliverables and workflow.
Knowledge of company products and services and their place in the market
Good communication and presentation skills.
