8 Nights / 9 Days

(5 Nights at Port Blair + 3 Nights at Havelock)

Day 1:

Arrival at Port Blair in the morning by flight/ship and transfer to hotel. Relax and rest at the hotel and after lunch visit Ross Island2 which is about 2 km east of Port Blair and can be reached by a short boat ride from Phoenix Bay Jetty (Ferry leaves at 1400 hrs and returns at 1600 hrs). Proceed back to your Hotel to freshen up and in the evening proceed to attend the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail.

Day 2:

After breakfast, proceed for Mount Harriet — the 2nd highest peak (365 meters high) in the Andamans, which offers a magnificent bird’s eye view of Port Blair’s adjoining islands. The summer headquarters of the Chief Commissioner during British Raj, this place provides fascinating views. From here one can trek for about 5 Kms through a nature’s trial of exotic flora and fauna, endemic birds and butterflies.

In the afternoon, visit the Cottage Industries Emporium (Sagarika) — for Shopping & Souvenirs.

Day 3:

Early morning departure (0600 hrs) ferry from Port Blair – Havelock. The ferry takes 2.5 hrs to reach Havelock. On arrival proceed to selected hotel and in the evening proceed to Beach No 7* (Radhanagar Beach) rated as the ‘Best Beach in Asia’ by Time Magazine (N/Ac Car/ Jeep  will be provided for pickup and drop, time spent 2-3 hours). Stay at Havelock overnight amongst sandy beach and lush green forest in a comfortable beach resort.

Day 4:

Trip to Elephant Beach3: Embark on the most memorable snorkelling trip. Note: Inclusive of snorkelling equipment and car/jeep pick up and drop to jetty.

Day 5:

Day at Leisure or Select from the additional list of activities to be done at Havelock.

Day 6:

Return from Havelock Island in the afternoon and transfer to hotel in Port Blair.

Day 7:

Prepare to explore the stunning underwater life of Andaman Islands. Depart by 0830 hrs for Wandoor to enter the Mahatma Gandhi National Park (29 kms from Port Blair, it is a 281 sq kms national park with 15 small and large Islands). Visit Red Skin / Jolly Bouy depending on which Island is open and get lost in the magical underwater life with variety of fishes and corals; it is a 45 minute boat ride through stunning uninhabited Islands. It is advisable to carry water and packed lunch. Snorkelling is really simple, so if you are just a beginner and have never tried it before don’t miss this opportunity to get your glimpse of what the underwater world has to offer. Believe us- it will take your breath away! There is plenty to see on the reef during this snorkel. The corals here are a mix of hard and soft corals. Butterfly fish, Angelfish, Damsel fish, Puffer fish, Trumpet Fish, Cornet Fish, Lobsters, Sea stars, Groupers, Octopus, Banded Sea Snake, Turtle, Anemone Fish and Moray Eels are some of the many marine organisms seen here.  Return back in the afternoon which memories of a lifetime.

Day 8:

After breakfast, start for a tour of places in & around Port Blair (City Tour) — covering the famous Cellular Jail1( a witness to the freedom struggle), Chatam Saw Mill (one of the oldest & largest in Asia), Forest Museum, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries (Marine) Museum, Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika). In the evening proceed for a leisurely Harbour Cruise (Departure at 1500 hrs) in a steamer along the Port Blair Harbour — which takes one to Viper Island. The gallows atop a hillock here is sight to watch.

Day 9:

Depart Port Blair with Fond memories of these mesmerising Islands.
